Prayer and Praise
Prayer and praise are the undergirding disciplines in the life of the believer. Believers cannot survive without them. Prayer is the solemn act of asking the Creator for divine intervention in situations, circumstances, and conditions. We must believe in His will. Prayer is an anchor when the storms of life arise. It is a "holy hook-up" with the Almighty!
Prayer strengthens our faith, stretches our vision, and saturates our spirits. Prayer is power. Prayer releases and relinquishes our will to God. Prayer acknowledges that we serve a prayer answering God. Prayer encourages us not to yield to the tempter's snares. Prayer is our energy connecting with the eternal. Prayer brings righteous living and holy revelation.
Prayer is a doorway to praise. Praise expresses the heart of gratefulness to the God who never sleeps nor slumbers. Praise is giving thanks to the Great Jehovah who fulfills promises that He has made from Genesis to Revelation. Praise Him while you wait and while you work. Praise Him believing that He is on the way. Praise Him for the marvelous things He has already done. Praise Him for His mighty acts.
Believers are called to maintain a spirit of praise and possess a temperment filled with joy. Our God inhabits His vessels who declare the victory...no matter what...and give Him all the praise. Praise is comely, so praise Him for His goodness, grace, glory, and greatness.
Yes, prayer and praise are the language of the soul of the believer!
Hallelujah!
